watching!

I'm currently watching Atsu-hime right now.

The 47th NHK Taiga Drama is a life story of Atsuhime who was born in Kagoshima Prefecture, then called Satsuma, and became the wife of Tokugawa Iesada, the 13th shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. She accedes to the highest rank in Ooku, the inner palace of the Edo castle where women related to the reigning shogun resided. Iesada dies soon after their marriage and Atsuhime assumes the name Tenshoin at the age of 23. She exerts herself for the Tokugawa clan and for the nation during the upheaval in the Meiji Restoration, headed by those from Satsuma.

It stars Miyazaki Aoi, one of the main reasons I first wanted to watch this. Besides that, Horikita Maki and Matsuda Shota are going to make appearances in the later episodes. And there's also Eita! I never thought Taiga dramas would have these young and popular actors playing in them, you know.

I'm downloading the torrents from d-addicts, because I've been searching for this series at online video-streaming sites, but there was none. Probably since taiga dramas are always sooooo long. This one itself consist of around 50+ episodes. Starting from the day Atsuhime was born, and who knows, probably until her death at age 49.

At the same time, I'm also watching Seigi no Mikata, starring Shida Mirai and Yamada Yu. And there's Hongo Kanata too! This one

Last week was my 17th birthday and I spent it in Jollibee! <3

Wait, let's rewind that! One day backwards please!

The girls came to my place and we like, had an awesome time togetherrr! Like, OMG, we painted each other's nails, talked about the boys *squeal* IT WAS AWE-TASTIC-SOME!

Okay, never mind. It's a huge, fat FAIL.

Actually, they came to my house. You know, the usuals. Nisa, Liilah, Fadz and Faiqa! We made a deal deal that they;d come to my house by 9, but due to unavoidable circumstances and the ongoing curse of "Janji Melayu", we finally manage to complete the group by 10-11ish. Not bad huh? XD

We watched Fido, a zombie comedy movie. I actually find that movie rather disturbing. It's about how some sort of radiation from space (Thank you, Wiki!) would cause the dead to raise as zombies. And then we played DDR since Fadz and Liilah brought their PS2 and the mats. Haven't played in such a long time <3 My own DDR mat is kept somewhere...somewhere. Probabaly turned into a rat's nest or something. Somewhere.

And then we watched a malay horror movie, Puaka Tebing Biru. One of the character's name is Ayu.

Made a joke during the movie, "If there's Ayu, where's Shuya?" D:

I know. That's pretty sad.

But the story itself is really nice. One of the few malay movies that I could not only tolerate, but enjoyed! Of course, there's also Fadz's reactions to poke fun at. Rating of the whole thing 10/10. And the screaming girl helped out alot.

My dad finally came home the next day. It was...an auspicious occasion! (I just discovered that word. *giggle*) Patchi chocolate. ALOT OF PATCHI CHOCOLATE. OMG. And then there's my birthday present.

A phone.

A touch-screen, iPhone-like cellphone.

Which means I have to part with my beloved Nokia 6510.

My dad bought it because his cousin recommended it to him, saying it's one of the the latest models for phones.

Not being ungrateful here. But I'm not quite fond of it, to put it lightly. It's very incovenient for me. I have to go through so many areas just to check my inbox for example. And I have to use a frickin stylus to navigate my way through it. Waste of time.

I don't use my thumb to dial anymore, and that's hard for me to adjust to. Whatever happen to keypads?! I STILL LOVE MY KEYPADS.

AND IT'S PINK. OF ALL COLOURS.

You know, I could just simply rejected it. But it's from my dad. So I guess I'll try to get used to it.

I did try to take out the SIM card again though, to put it back in my old phone, just to feel it one last time. But I COULDN'T. Dammit. It's like that thing is saying, :there's no turning back." *snickers*

My 9-year-old sister and 4-year-old niece had a funny conversation.

sister: You know, my guy friend saw you and he thought you were hot.
niece: *flicks hair* hot? No, I'm fine!
sister: No, he means you're hot! I think he likes you!
niece: Oh, that hot. You're supposed to say it as HAHT. not hot!
sister: Oh, HAHT.

Ever since the beginning of the holidays, I've been tempted to start a story. I've always been a writer, I just lost the passion some time ago. And now I want to write again. So many little things around me have been inspiring me to write, but I can't seem to start. I don't know where to start. In my mind, there's a conflict between a love story, a thriller, an adventure story, and stories that make you think.

I've finished reading Alice's Adventure in Wonderland and The Little Prince. It's not really healthy to read these two books one after another mainly because it's just so bizzarre, it makes you think, and such. But I did it anyway. And now I'm reading the The Curious Incident of the Dead Dog (or something like that) and the narrator is an autistic teenager. Again, another bizzarre point of view with a weird storyline. Why am I drawn to these type of books? Teir so awesome they fry your brains. T_T

Last week was the last week of school. (CAUTION: Sentence is confusing. May cause seizure. Please read carefully.) Today is already the end of this week. I know I haven't been updating. Did anyone miss me? :(

We had the annual CCA Closing Ceremony on the last day. Second time doing a kendo performance, and I somehow felt it was more crappy that last year's. Thanks to a bunch of unwanted factors from several parties who were supposed to be directly involved in planning the performance, we had lack of practice. I'm not going to vent my anger in this blog. It's totally not worth it. Besides, it's over. At least I don't feel like killing someone anymore now.

So what is up?

Well, for one thing, my dad's not here. He's off to perform Haj, with plenty other people. T_T Won't be back til the 18th. So thanks to that, we hold tahlils every thursday night, and will be doing so for the next few weeks until my dad comes back.

I've been spending my time downloading torrents. Of ayumi hamasaki. lol. Her concert was released on TV, so I had to download that. Illegal, yeah, but at least I'm not supporting any bootleg companies, right? This one is directly from the net, baby, shared by other Ayu-fans as well. Don't worry, I'll try to get the DVD once it's out.

AND AND AND OMGAAAAAAAWD. Ayu also just released her latest PV. And guess what? Shuya's in it too. T__T I'm so touched. So, you guys want to see how Shuya looks like minus the sweat and with some clothes on? (LOL, that sounds wrong) I mean, with normal clothes on.
