Happy times.

I miss you, blog~! <3 Sorry that I've been pretty depressed and sad since the last few days. Guess why I haven't been updating you, bloggie? Well, I got a job! I mean, seriously, I do. I've been working at my aunt's office since last Friday. Don't you think just because she's my aunt that she's going to treat me lightly. The load of work she gave, dude...D: I mostly type stuff up over there and handle the internet work. Since I'm the only other worker than my aunt and her other worker, well, yeah, I handled the internet stuff. XD

Another thing also making me happy are friends. I finally got to meet Didi after a long time. The only times I see her is during SMARTER events only. I have to admit, I am not that close to her, I mean, we don't exchange messages, we don't greet each other on friendster, we don't chat in MSN, but once we meet, it's just..."KA-BOOM! Hey!" She can make a joke out of anything. Honestly, the two of us have nothing in common at all. She's the...you girl...type of girl. XD Very the GIRL. XD ANd I also met Valentine for the first time. She's Weng's younger sister. I like her name and how she got her name, apparently, she was born on Valentine's day! How cool was that?
I understand that we all look weird. I mean, c'mon, I only have one eye!

And last Sunday, something funny happened. You see, I woke up around 8.30+ thinking, "Yes! No work today!" When suddenly my maid came knocking at my door and said, "Itu kawan kendo kamu udah datang loooo!" And I was like, "Shit! No way!" And it turned out to be true, and that training on that day was changed to 9am. So I basically rushed through everything, but when I ran downstairs, they were still changing. Damn. And hungry. All five of us were hungry. So I grabbed some nasi goreng, bread and peanut butter and milo and took it downstairs. Unexpectedly, my dad went down and met them. I was kinda panicky because there are guys too. My dad is quite a conservative man, you see. XD But thanks to him, we all found out that we're realted! Because they all live in Serasa, and my great-grandfather came from Serasa. That's how we were all related. That's why, I am now an honorary member to the "Serasa Alliance"! Haha!

So training was normal training. Very basic. I like. I'm just not comfortable with the senpais staring at our feet all the time though. Darn ashi sabaki. Haha. Ramzul came and told me stories about ghosts. He said he can sense them. I have doubt but I believe in the supernatural nevertheless. That's because I love Russell Lee <3

We went to Ahan Thai after training, this time the senpais also came along with us! Sat next to Andre so picture-taking we did! XD
I somehow like this picture! Cool thing is, look at our drinks! Haha! Mine was mango ice blended and his was carrot ice blended, which he said tasted like mango! XD

TULANtulanTULAN

I received some belated happy birthday messages. Of course, I replied them with thanks and all that. But was I happy? Well, honestly, not really. Because they only remembered after seeing the MSN nick I purposely wrote. Psssssh. I'm sorry for being ungrateful and bitchy and mean but I can't help feeling somewhat hurt, okay.

Another thing so tulan is my father's job. He's work time is supposed to be the working hours. No more shifts like he used to have. Yeah right. He's been doing so-called night shifts again. And then he has to work during the normal working hours again. WTF. Dad should not have taken that job. ):

The tulan-est thing ever is the holidays. I am just so jobless now. When you're bored, you feel pissed. And sensitive. I guess that sort of attributes to the feelings of Tulan Things #1. But I thank Katak for giving me lyrics to translate into Japanese. Not that I'm good at it, but I have my trusty dictionary to help. Em haha. Obviously the translations have yet to reach that authentic japanese level. Hmmm.

The initial mood of this post was going to be moody, but after receiving birthday messages from them who remembered, I'm happy again, so I would like to thank them.

Thanks to Qils, my cousin who was also the first one to greet at exactly 12 midnight.

Thanks to my dad whose birthday greeting was "Selamat hari jadi yang ke ." I see no number. XD

Thanks to Fatin who claims that she woke up after 3 hours of sleep just to greet me and went back to sleep again. Awww.

Thanks to Zakiah who greeted all the way from UK, I misss youuuu~!! And thanks for messaging twice too. XD

Thanks to my Aunt Unchu who, like everybody goes, "ada lanja?"

SMARTER Family Sunday Splash

Okay, I am not exactly sure what it's called. Either it was Family Day, or SMARTER Splash or something. Who knows. Lets just get on with it I am currently feeling pissed, depressed, lonely, whatever.

I woke up at 7AM. Which means I only had at most 3 hours of sleep. Not really looking forward to it, but what the heck, right. Everyone dressed really casually because since there is the word "splash" in the event title, there's obviously going to be water. And with autistic kids around, water normally means swimming. You know, all those therapy stuff. So yay.

It was a hot day. A very hot day. A very, very hot day. Yes. I just feel like dragging that fact. So what. Carried the shirts from the car, which only managed one sale since it is assumed that most of the members already owned that SMARTER shirt. Initially, my sister and I were supposed to be in charge of that. But hey, with three bouncers and two swimming pools (or more like dipping pools, since the pools were at most 4 feet and the kids just basically...dip in it), you just drift away to it.

I was very tempted to just join in the sliding bouncer. I really wanted to. But I didn't bring extra clothes thinking that I'd be able to resist the temptations.

There really was not programme. You just do what you want to do. Dip in, mingle around, grab some grub.

In the end, I did get wet because I like standing bythe pool and some kids just splash the water. And they have some balls in the water, yeah, they threw that at me. yay. Oh, Muin, dude, he is so evil with his younger brother. Muin is one of those high-functioning autsitics kids, if that's the correct term for it, you know, he can talk and communicate and all, yet still have that...thing whcih autistic kids have. Yeah. So with his brother he was like, "Hello little man! *diabolical laugh*" It was even freaking me out. He's big and tall, pulling his brother all the time, and his kid brother, was small, and frail, running away from him, with fear written all over his face. I'd say it reminded me of a giant and one of its victims. The whole thing just amuses me.

And, we were one of the last families to go home because mum helped clean up and forced me to go around with her picked up small, undetectable rubbish because "she can't bend down". Yay.

Pictutes will be put up some other time when my USB cable stops fcking up.

Balik Kampung

||INTERRUPTION: I HAD A DREAM LAST NIGHT. I MET FERGIE OF BLACK EYED PEAS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY AS I AM NOT A FAN OF HERS. SHE WAS HOT, THOUGH.||

The event of the day was going to Lamunin, Tutong to visit my grandma. As far as kampung visits go, I hate to say this, but normally it will be very boring since there's nothing to do. So I bring lots of books with me. Like, lots. Say about...10? Yeah. That's how jobless we will be at my grandma's place.

But not this time.

See, this time, my cousin from Belait was also coming to visit with three of her kids. And I tell ya, she's...filled...with...things-that-she-think=is-funny, so it's fun being lame with her. XD And this time, I didn't even have to read even one book, amazing.

Together with Kaka Dayang and her kids, we went to take a look at Hua Ho Tutong. Um. Nothing much, really. Just like any other Hua Hos. But, the Converse stuff there looks awesome. XD By the way, that's just a warm-up walk for us, because we were planning to go to Aminah Arif there to grab some Ambuyat. Sluuuurp. I is loving teh sound.

Well, the ambuyat was not enough. We ordered a refill. But then, nobody can finish the refill. This was my first time feeling full after eating ambuyat only. Other than the ambuyat, Kaka Dayang complained on everything else. I agree.

We went back to my grandma's house, all of us. My sister just bought an children origami book, and I was sort of into origami. Not really. But yeah. Somehow, that was how my nephews (and here I am referring to the walking lamp post and his yet-to-grow brother) and I plus my sisters all got bonded again after years of not seeing each other. Lolo, they even delayed their mum from going home trying to finish this one origami.

Finally, after spending a day at my grandma's, we went home at 7. Where again, the sibling fights begin, which I am not going to complain about because that is just so...normal.

Training with Ninomiya-sensei

Day 1

So let me start with what happened before that, first.

Around 5.30PM, Pau and the gang (you should know who they are by now XD) arrived at my house with Lim Han-senpai's birthday cake. We were planning to surprise him after training. Then, off we went to the mall because Riku wanted to buy him a present. Somehow, we did not realise it, but dude, the time we spent at the mall was longer than we thought. It was already 6.40PM and we still had to go back to my house to get the cake. Why, oh why did we have to park so far away?

We decided to go in two cars. Pau, Hafiz, Kaza and me will go back to my house while Riku and Far will go straight to the Scouts Building. And the traffic jam also did a good job in delaying us. Thank you very much, stupid traffic light for making the red light last forever and the green light so short.

Finally, we arrived but we have to park a little bit far away again. It was already 7PM and we were still haven't changed our clothes. The plan was to get Hafiz to run to the elevator and hold it open for us while we carry all the stuff. But, apparently, he just ran into the building and zoomed up to the fifth floor and entered the dojo with no bowing whatsoever and the worst thing was, he left us to carry all our stuff and more. It was no surprise to see Pau, Kaza and me arrived panting and puffing. XD

So anyway, the training. Ninomiya-sensei, the one who came to visit is a 7th dan sensei. We also have another sensei, Miyazaki-sensei who is a 3rd dan and a lot younger than I thought he would be. He also brought his wife and two cute daughters. :D

I have to say, I have not trained like that in a lot time. The one where we choose partners, and one becomes the receiver and the other one an attacker, and then do the cuts twenty times and moves to the right ippon migi sort of thing. And then we did the training where three bogu-ed receiver stands in front and we each take a turn to attack them, haha. We should seriously train more on that. My Do cut still sucks. And Lim Han senpai noticed that I seem to hold back my cuts I just didn't want to hurt them X(. And Ninomiya-sensei said my arms were too tense, which during the second day he told everyone that we should add more "snap" into our cuts. I don't really know how to do that yet. XD

When the seniors were doing jigeiko, we jujiors, except for Kaza who was told to jigeiko, were left with nothing to do. Biased much? Pau was with Hafiz and Cahya, and Riku was with Far and Adeline, and I don't feel like interrupting either. Do I feel left out? Honestly, yes, but than again, that always happens nowadays but ^*%))*(&%^&^$%&^%$&^) yeah, I'm done.

And Riku and Far, they've moved one step up the "fangirl" stage. Now, they're into Ninomiya-sensei and Miyazaki-sensei. We also have a fanboy in the making named Hafiz. He talked alot with Ninomiya sensei, and after asking him so many questions, Hafiz asked, "what's your name?" I was, at the very least, flabbergasted with his question. But Sensei just simply answered his question saying, "I'm Ninomiya." Other than that, I don't really know what to feel. I just laughed my heart out.

We had some picture taking. I don't have the group photo with me though. Haha Hafiz took many, too many photos of himself with Ninomiya-sensei. XD Oh, and the birthday cake for the birthday boy? Muahahaha. It was fun looking at his embarrassed face like that. XD And we all had a good time.

I AM SO SHORT. This photo just made it so obvious. Anyway, L-R = Ninomiya-sensei, me (duh), Miyazaki-sensei. LOL I thought when Ali said, "Pindik jua!" I didn't thought it would be like THAT.

Day 2

This time, we arrived, slightly early, but we decided to go to Supa Save first, since we saw other kendokas including senpais still in they normal attire going there. I was unfortunately wearing my gi hakama already, but what the heck. As usual, stares. But at least I wasn't the only one.

When we got into the hall, most still hasn't changed, including the two senseis themselves. Ooookay. But that time, it was already 9.10AM. I followed the girls into the toiet and blablabla. The door wouldn't close fully and the guys' toilet was right next to ours. But no harm done. They changed in the cubicles. But we were noisy. That's why every time someone comes out of the guy's toilets, they'd shout at us for being noisy. XD

The training on that day was less hard then the one we had the other day, but I had a hard time doing hayasuburi because I was having pains. XD But after that it was okay, the training was basically the same. This time, it was Shiro who told me to not hold back my cuts. Yarrrr.

This time Cahya was told to jigeiko. We thought we'll be left to do nothing again, but then Ninomiya-sensei approaced us personally and told us to practice our cuts with run through. Okay. Fine by me.

Haha we actually had fun training on our own. Less control, more fun. Yepyep. Good.

And and and and and I finally got to know Miyazaki-sensei's daughters' names! XD Okay, that's a lot. Anyway, yeah. Haha. Oh man. So cute. The older one, is Yui, 3 and the younger one is Reina, 1. Both of them were shy though so in the end we took the picture with the mother included. XD NO I AM NOT BEING A PEDO. I JUST APPRECIATE THEIR CUTENESS AND WOULD LIKE TO EMBED THAT INTERNALLY IN MY MEMORIES. Um yeah. Haha.

That's them. With their mommy. I don't know mommy's name though. Didn't know how to ask. XD CUTE, I TELL YOU, CUTE! Yui looked like she wanted to cry because she was scared. I was scared too. XD
After training, the seniors decided to bring the sensei to Aminah Arif to have taste of Ambuyat. We went with them, but decided to stop by at Seri Qlap Mall first to go to the arcade. Haha. I went in Far's car with Adeline, Hafiz went with Cahya and Riku and Kaza went with Pau. It was my first time playing the Initial D race game. I got my own card how. With a picture of tow girls on it. WTF is the meaning of this?! And also first time playing the machine-version of DDR. I don't like it. Since there was not that many people, I did try the games.

In the end, when we think we have enough fun, we went over to Aminah Arif. All eight of us sat around a round table which barely fitted us all because we couldn't combine the other tables. And apparently, I feel like a more walls are built between the realms of the juniors and the seniors. But who cares at that time, right? I was having fun with my friends. kaza tried ambuyat, she failed. Adeline didn't eat much. Other than Ambuyat which I heart with all my soul, I also ate the fried fish. haha. yes, I dig the fish. XD

We were done and the seniors took off. Ninomiya-sensei was one of the last ones to go ut and he waved at us. Hafiz, being his fanboy gave him a high five. XD WTF. He was waving, not givinga high five. But that's Hafiz to you. Hah and they did it the second time. XD And as typical die-hard fans go, he will never wash his hand ever again.

After that, Pau sent me home. THey stayed for a while and then went home.

THE ENNNND.

Amusing Little Things

My dad just brought home three stray kittens home few days ago. Well, they weren't really strays. They were born and lived at my grandfather's house until their mother abandoned them and my aunt said they can't keep them because they don't have cat food. Pssh. Just because of that?

Anyway, my dad carried them out of the car inside a blue bucket, as there were no boxes. They were skinny. Two of them were black and gray and orange while the other one was white and black. Poor things :(

My dad put them in the abandoned "cat house", behind our house. I am actually quite worried if some monitor lizard or dogs might find them and...do stuff to them, like what happened to my late rabbits and cats.

One of them was apparently thinner than the other two, so naturally, I focused most on that one.

So, why am I talking about this? It's about this thing that my 7/8-year-old brother did this morning. When he's with my 9-year-old sister, my god. What brats. But since the sister went to sleep at my cousin's house, he was lonely so he stuck to me and my other sister, 12-years old. Very innocent. See, I knew it, the mastermind of the evil schemes was that sister of mine.

He went downstairs with me to the check out the kittens and he saw the blue bucket.

He asked, "Kaka, what is that blue bucket for?"

I replied, "It's...um, it's for them to sleep in." I honestly don't know what to say. The answer was illogical, but what the heck.

"How are they supposed to get in?"

"They'll...jump?"

"But they're so small!" And with good thinking, he decided to lie the bucket onto it's side, supposingly to make the kittens easier to enter and sleep.

Is that not just so thoughtful of him?

Now everybody, say "AWWW~!!"

Banzai~

T'was an awesome day, very, I must say. XD

I thought I was late to training today. Turns out, I was only the third to arrive, after the two girls whose names I still don't know. Where the heck are the light switches anyway? And so blablabla, junbi taisho. Erk. Yazin was in one of "those" moods again, at least I think so. He claimed that he fell asleep during our warm up. Puuuffff. So for most of the time, he just let us sit down and talked about etiquettes (thank God for the spell checker, I have no idea how to spell it XD) using Fiz as the model for the proper ways of doing junbi taisho. Can't help but laugh. Hafiz, don't hold a grudge. Please. :D

Then, he had to go and told us to train whatever is necessary to improve and specifically pointed out to me about my mistake during the kata. HAHA...and I had already forgotten all about it!

So around 11+, we juniors were left to train by ourselves, as the other two senpais left were Naif and Suberu, who were busy jigeiko-ing in the other room. The two girls (I reaaaally don't know your names, sorry!) practiced kata with Far, Kaza and Pau. I alternated between the two pairs. Riku was busy doing waza with Cahya and Fiz and Syazani and blablabla. We sorta just did random training, you know. In the end, when it was nearing 12, we just had a brilliant idea. Riku, Far, Pau, Fiz, the two girls, and I decided to do a crazy ashi sabaki practice. We put our shinais at our back horizontally the way we normally do, but in this case, we're connecting it with the other shinais. So we did the tango MAI, ATO, MIGI, HIDARIIII~!! It was hard yet fun! XD

Raito, Syazani and Kaza decided to join in the fun and then, another idea popped up! Lets do hayasuburi in that position! So since we were holding on to each other's shinais, we can only do the footwork of hayasuburi. Hahahahahaha 20x hayasuburi like that. Hell. XDD

It was already 12 by then, so we went into a circle, the other two girls went home and did hayasuburi. There were eight of us left, senpais still in the other room, and sooo, we did hayasuburi our own style! XD We wanted to do 50 hayasuburi, so the plan was that everyone count until 5, "ICHI NI SAN SHI GO!" and then after everyone's done counting we count til 10 "ICHI NI SAN SHI GO ROKU SHICHI HACHI KYU JUU!"and it all totals up to 50! Haha awesome, it was.

After mokuso and rei, it was MISATO TIME~! However, Cahya didn't bring any spare clothes because he forgot! D: We didn't want to leave him out, so we decided not to change! So the seven us went to Misato. Fiz, Kaza and I went with Pau and Riku and Far went with Cahya!

As usual, people staaaared. This is the consequences of not wanting to leave your friend by himself in his gi hakama. What the heck. Good thing we managed to get one of the private rooms. And duuude, we ordered a heck lot. I ordered tooo many sushis. Haha. The huge-sized ones too. I ordered four plates of sushi and two Day for Night drinks. Haha. I thought the sushis was small, but damn, they were huge. XD So when I finished the third plate, I thought it was over. Turns out that, a fourth plate came. Oh shit. Haha. I only managed to eat one, haha and gave the other one to Cahya. Even he was like, "munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch munch swallows." So big, I almost puked. Haha. Total is $86.60. XD I paid $16.60 because I don't remember how much and I was supposed to treat Pau out of the goodness of my heart. Repayment for willing to send and pick me up from home so many times. The others gave $10 each. XD Here are the pics,, taken using Far's phone. Not clear. And Fiz and Cahya ain't in the pic.

That's Riku, Far, Me, Kaza and on the other side Pau. Our facees are blurred to avoid identification. XD Right.

After feeling very, very full, we went to my house. This time I went with Cahya to direct him to my house. Haha we missed my simpang because we were to busy talking. XD Sorry. We decided to change clothes at my house since my house was the nearest to Mall compared to the others. We still had aproblem though, Cahya. He didn't have spare clothes. I can't just lend him my dad's clothes. And not my clothes. He is 180+cm tall, I believe. But then I remembered my oversized Billabong jacket and decided to lend that to him. And now, pants. mm. I lent him the pants I usually wear for PE. Oh god. It fits! Haha. With the pants and the jacket, he's just a few bling-bling away from being "them". But what the heck. Now we can go to the Mall. XD'

This time, it's Far, Riku and me in Cahya's car and Kaza, Fiz in Pau's car.
Looked for parkings. No parkings. Where are the parkings? Found a parking spot. Walked to the Mall. So many people. We just remembered, it was a SUNDAY! D: So it was a good thing we didn't persuade Cahya to just wear his gi hakama to the Mall. XD While waiting for Pau, we went to the Food Court for some Fruities. This was my first time ordering from that stall and I ordered something Summer. It was a mango drink and the cool thingwas, they have real mango pieces, instead of mango jelly or whatever artificial things they used. It was awesome, but a bit too sweet. They should add more water. I was feeling hot at that time. My palms were soooo hot yet not an ounce of sweat was produced, and my lips were dry, and I wasn't even in a desert.

We finally met up, turns out the were sitting at the other end of the food court, near the arcade, while we were sitting in front of Jollibee's stall. XD Haha so we went to the arcade, Riku and Far went to the DDR machine. We watched for a while then we followed Pau to the Initial D machine. Haha awesoooome. The only ones who didn't play anything were Cahya, Kaza and me so I took out a dollar, grabbed some tokens, and went to the game, the touch screen one, haha. Haha crazy what. Then, everyone disappeared. Kaza and I were left in the midst of crowd of strangers. Went back to DDR machine, lol. Kaza said, with a far, far away gaze, "I wish he was here." Yeah, my response was just a smirk. XD

Then, since we had nothing to do, we went to some game stores, wondering what they have for PSPs. Nothing, nothing, nothing. Then I dragged her to Jollybean with my so that I can finally get my hands on the long lost After 8 I've always wanted. I told her to get one too but she said she was saving money. Turns out, she's saving money for someone's upcoming birthday. Hehehe. She's been talking a lot about him these days. Now she's starting to remind me of Manda. Haha.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention. We bumped into Syazni, as in my junior, in the lift. And yay! He's continuing Kendo CCA next year! I am so happy for him! Told him to just go and fet himself a gi hakama already! Now all we're waiting for is Hafiz's response, another junior of ours. They're good, y'know.

It was 5.50 when we decided to go home. And we saw Marcel! Long time no see! But he can't come to training because of the time clashes. Awww. Wish everyone is there.

And then, home we went. We met up at my house, before finally, bye bye.

And now, bye bye to you too. Sorry for the long posts these days. XD

Kendo presentation =D -->> Before and After || And other stuff

OMG. MY DAD JUST EMERGED OUT OF NOWHERE WITH HIS TOWEL OVER HIS HEAD COVERING HIS FACE AND WEARING MY MUM'S SKIRT.

*take deeeeeeeeeep breath*

Okay. I was supposed to talk about our kendo presentation, rught? Yeah, I'm going to refer it as presentation or performance. I can't really consider it a demo, since we're just doing the kendo moves without actually explaining what the heck we were doing to the crowd.

WARNING: LONG POST AHEAD BECAUSE I LIKE TELLING THE DETAILS.

We were informed that we are to do a presentation of our CCA club somewhere last week. My reaction was, "Uh, what? So we're supposed to come up with something by wednesday? ...Fuck." So anyway, I'll divide the training into the two days plus the real event.

Wednesday

Our meeting was supposed to be on Monday, but Jynn postponed it to Wednesday, when he said that he didn't postpone the actual meeting. But anyway, we met up on Wednesday, just have no idea of all what to do. We finally decided to show the
  • basic men, kote, do cuts;
  • kiri kaeshi,
  • ni-dan waza: kote-men and kote-do;
  • kaeshi waza: men kaeshi do and kote kaeshi men;
  • and ipponme kata.
The initial arrangement and pair-up were Riku with Syazni, Kaza with Hafiz and me with Syafiq. Jyn was supposed to be the one giving out orders since he doesn't have a partner and then pair up with Kaza during the kata. We trained in the gym. We only have two days of practice and lots to do. We know we couldn't really expect much from the three boys since they've only done training during CCA unlike Riku, Kaza and me. We tried to not put much pressure on them as well as ourselves. But yeah. You know when you combine good with not so good, you would at least get an average result. But when you combine not so good with not so good, the result is me and my partner. Boooooo.

Thursday

Nash and Zul joined in, Syafiq didn't come. So my new partner is Zul. He is TINY. When I say TINY, imagine comparing a tree trunk to a stick. I'm the tree trunk, he's the stick. It was very hard partnering uo with him but I couldn't complain because Jynn was already on the "forceful, cheerful swearing-cursing" stage of stress. Which is what I would do when I am stressed yet sarcastic and hyper. And honestly, by the third rehearsal on stage, I was feeling discouraged. I guess the others were too since Jynn asked the teachers if we can do a "kiai check" on stage. So kiai we did. I felt quite refreshed after that.

All of us had to do EVERYTHING, from basic cuts to waza, except for kata, so synchronizing was hard. Syazni, Hafiz and Zul went home at noon so left were Jynn, Nash, Kaza and me. (Yes, this was mentioned in my previous post, so if you don't want to read it, shut up and hide in you closet) We were thinking of how to make everything nice and smooth. So we paired up and Jynn would count for every move we make. It was okay for basic cuts but for the others, I say it was quite impossible.

We ended training and Kaza and I went to the canteen to grab some food and drinks. We discussed how difficult it was to follow Jynn's counting so we wanted to tell him our idea. We want to follow the Karate do style, where the juniors do the basics techniques, and seniors do the advanced techniques. But then again, technically, we are all juniors since we started at the same time, except for Jynn. But the level of skill were obviously caried between us. We didn't say it directly to him, just some few subtle hints, and he came up with the idea to let the juniors (which are them who did not come to central dojo's training) and the others are up to the seniors (those who came to central dojo's training) And then somehow, it does not sound fair to the form two kids. So final decision was, juniors for basic cuts and kiri kaeshi, and seniors for waza and kata. And damn. I was to perform kata with Kaza. NOOOOO. I can't hold back my laughter when I partner up with her. We went home after that.

Saturday

Finally, the real day has arrived. Oh god. Now I was starting to panic. Chris joined us! Yay! *pinch* Muahahahaha. We THOUGHT the CCA Closing Ceremony was after break, but then Ms. Jennifer said that it was in the morning!

Of course, I was getting even more panicked. Jynn was our leader but daaang, at that time he was busy with choir, Riku was busy practicing with Ramzul who also joined in the last minute, Nash couldn't join the presentation though he was still there, so it was up to Kaza and I to be in-charge of the juniors.

Good thing Hafiz, Syazni and Zul decided to stay with us. Thank you, guys. But I was worried about their kiai. They were not loud enough, I guess. So I told them to kiai while doing men cuts. I love Syazni's kiai. It's the deep, husky type of kiai. He should do that more often. Chris's kiai was good when he does it. It's just that he doesn't do it often. Hafiz had the deep, smooth kiai voice. Zul's was still weak but he was the most friendly among them. Em, why the heck am I commenting on their kiais, you ask? I am just so proud of them. HAHA wtf I sound weird. My voice went into a screech during my kiai. Opps. Too loud. XD

Then, we did two more rehearsal when Jynn was done with choir. And the FINAL-EST final arrangement was (BEWARE, OVERLOAD OF DETAIL)
  • Basic cuts & kiri kaeshi = Syazni-Hafiz, Chris-Zul.
  • ni-dan waza: kote-men, kote-do; kaeshi waza: men kaeshi do, kote kaeshi men = Riku-Ramzul
  • ipponme kata = Kaza-Maj
Oh man, and that was pretty last minute. But it was simple and since only one pair is up each time, there was no need of synchronising. And for basic cuts, Jynn only needs to count for the two pairs to sync, and for kiri kaeshi the two pairs just have to go at their own pace, at the same time trying to adjust to the other pair's speed.

Okay, it looks as if Kaza and I got the smallest part of the presentation. Honey, you think WRONG. Kata is basically the hardest part the whole thing, I tell you. I had to practice the Kata so many times with Kaza to get used to looking at each other without laughing and also to perfect my moves. Sigh. It was tough. D= So basically, there was additional challenge for the both of us.

And then, it was time. We were up next after Karate. I've seen the Karate rehearsals. There were about 12 or more of them and they've basically been on stage more than us, plus they have awesome moves. How can we compare that to eight newbie-on-stage, first-timer kendo performers? But then again, we shouldn't compare. That's just bad.

There was so many people. The audi was basically packed. Greeeaaaat. Now, butterflies were about to burst out of my stomach.

Okay, more useless details ahead.

We entered through the backstage, led by Jynn, then Ramzul, Riku, Kaza, me, Syazni, Hafiz, Chris and Zul. Haha yes, I remember. I guess adrenaline in some way increases your memory. XD We faced the audience, and rei-ed, screaming "Onegaishimasu!" as loud as possible. We saw Yazin in the front seats. Getting more nervous having a senpai looking at us.Then, the rest of us seiza-ed while Chris, Zul, Syazni and Hafiz took their positions and Jynn stood by the side. I don't know why, but the audience laughed. Out of amusement, or amazement, or because we look plain weird and funny on stage, I have no idea. I was later told because they all looked cute. XD Right. The audience laughed even more during Kiri Kaeshi. Is it really that funny?! We kept on stealing glances at Yazin who was sitting, leaning forwad with his chin in his hand, loking serious. OMG Was he mad and disappointed?!

Then, they seiza while Riku and Ramzul performed ni-dan waza and kaeshi waza. Everything was going smoothly, until kaeshi waza where Jynn was supposed to announce "kaeshi waza: men kaeshi do!" which basically means your opponent attack you with a men cut and you counter using do cut. He somehow accidentally said "men kote do!" which confused Riku so when Ramzul attacked her she paused. But they managed to cover it up when they repeat it. Then, kote kaeshi men, Riku attack and Ramzul defend. Every time Ramzul hits Riku on the head, the audience again laughed. Of course he didn't really hit her but I guess it was so close that the audience felt the suspense.

And then came our turn. In my head, "ohshitohshitohshitohshit." I don't know why, but after I took out my bokken during the initial sonkyo, I was halfway through doing the sageeto, as in, returning it back to my invisible sheath. WTFFFF. By then, I was sooooo nervous already, and as I was the defender (shidachi) in the first round, I just threw out all my stress and embarrassment into a long and loud "TOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" And again, people laughed. WHYWHYWHY? When Kaza did the "to!" they did laugh, but not as loud as they did during my "to!" Boo.

And then, the kata ended. Everyone lined up and moved up front stage. It was time for the finale, HAYASUBURI!! Haha, even my friend who doesn't really know much kendo was looking forward to this one the most. So, we were ordered to "chuudan-n0-kamae" and our shinai's were basically pointing at the guest of honour and principal and the teachers. So, bein the mature adults they were, yeah, you know, the typical playful reaction you get when a swrod is pointed at you. Oh yeah, Kaza and I were using bokkens, heavier than shinais, so it was a good thing that we were only doing 20. Haha. And another good thing was, this time, the audience was not laughing, instead they were cheering, filled with "WOOOAHHH!" and claps. I guess everyone seriously likes to see us torturing ourselves with high speed men cuts.

Then, it ended. We rei, and screamed out a satisfying "ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!!!" and walked out of the audi were I automatically apologised to everyone about my mistake early in the kata.

We were told to go into the audi from the back and had to wait for the event to end after tons of awards given away. The instructors for the CCA clubs which had instructors got certificates which had cool lines, like the one Yazin got. "For Professional Supervision in Kendo." Proof of his hard work. Woohoo.

We met up with him when we went out of the audi, (no, we didn't stay bacjk with the other students when the invited guests were supposed to go out XDD) Haha scared with what he had to say, but turned out he was actually happy with the presentation. He even personally commented that our kata was getting better since the last time we trained. But he did notice the teensy-weensy mistake I made. SORRRYYYY. He also praised MS which I'm not going to mention or else I'll sound...obnoxious. Whatever that word means. XD Besides, I don't remember. XD And he said the hayasuburi was the most exciting part of the presentation. LOL well, I am noraly slower than others at doing hayasuburi, but dang, that day, with all that happened, I put my whole heart into it and just screamed out the numbers, like the others. Heheh.

And here, is us. L-R: Chris, Riku, Kaza, me, Zul, Nash, Hafiz, Ramzul, Syazni and Jynn. Yazin-senpai took the photo.

Post-presentation!

Yazin took us to EasyWay as a treat for the success of the presentation *cough*when we were supposed to go back to the audi after the break for more performaces *cough* Pity Chris, Syazni, Hafiz and Zul didn't join us, I mean, we were starting to get to know each other, finally, after months of training together yet not interacting. Maybe next year I should suggest boys pairing up with girls so that they won't get restricted to getting know one gender only. And we should be paired up randomly, because as far as I notice, we only choose to pair up with our friends. Because I seriously regret not knowing them earlier because they are fun, and they're not continuing Kendo next year. I mean, that was how I got new friends out of Kendo in the central dojo.

So anyway, where was I? XD Oh yeah. EasyWay was clooosed. And then we passed Desa Cafe. Riku hinted me. "Maj, you have something to say about that Desa Cafe, right?" So, I guess even I couldn't hold back, so I blurted out, "That's my...aunt's cafe." Yazin obviously heard me, so his response was, "This. Is. Awkward." I will explain in one sentence and then I will never say it again. Desa Cafe is Yazin's mum's cafe which is also my aunt's cafe, so you get what that means? Honestly, I really don't like finding out I'm related to someone who I first know as a friend or something like that. I mean, I already knew that Yazin is related to Zati who is related to Pinji who is related to me, but I thought that was as far as it goes. D:

So umm, why do I always get off topic so easily? We went to Jollibee. Yazin's treat! The bill was up to $33 for only the six of us. We greedy people. Reef and Nash were there. I think they walked from school. Um. LOL. Riku was still thinking about that fact that people laughed during Ramzul's and her waza which just reminded me about the laughter of people during my "to!" -_-;; haha again, I wondered about it, but did I hear unmistakably from Yazin that the kiai was good? X) Okay, ignore me. So we talked, shared stories and blabla til it was 12+PM and Riku and Kaza has to go home since they're going by bus. I had to go back to school too because I was supposed to be with Froggy. I was stuffed with fries, beef burger, rocky road sundae and coke.

*NOW THE KENDO RANTING SESSION HAS ENDED, THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED THAT AFTERNOON, ALSO AT SCHOOL*

Froggy has gained permission to use the Audi since she needs the piano to practice with Andy. Again, like our last practice, they didn't actually practiced much. Just...sat there, with Andy playing random songs on the piano and Froggy singing some random song and me just either listening to them or lying down, or listening to some random stories. They did manage to practice, separately, like last time too. I told Froggy that I won't be able to come to her to every practice since there really was no use of me there, anyway.

In the mean time, Andy shared with us some of his Wu Shu knowledge. I really like the "Chi" concept. He demonstrated by pushing me. It was obvious that his hands didn't move much but I actually went tumbling few feet back, trying to balance myself. Good thing I didn't flew but the impact was there. Awesome.

When they did manage to combine both the singing and the piano singing, it was nice. I felt like sleeping to the song. Wow. Unfortunately, I had to go home too soon, at least I think so. Had so much fun with them.

I should really stop now. Took me an hour and few glasses of orange syrup to write all this down. Ahaha. Please don't complain. I just want to make sure all this happened when I somehow miraculously find this entry again in a few years time.
