SMARTER Shop

Today was supposed to be my rest day. Well, I only managed to rest 'til 10 AM. After that, we were all brought to Bandar. Apparently, SMARTER Brunei opened up a shop. Or more like, rented a shop space, and then we use it to sell donated items. I was worried it was going to be a boring day. Turns out it was great! I guess, despite it being in a very secluded and isolated area, it attracted a heck lot of customers alright! Especially those people who are so into cheapcheapcheap goods! And man, the items, being donated, were totally under-priced! C'mon, where else can you get clothes for 10 cents for heaven's sake?! A baby cot, originally bought for $200+, now resold at $50! You can't get a better bargain than that!

For a first day, and with all those under-priced goods, it's amazing how our profit actually reached the hundreds region! Woot!

If that shop lasts til March, I am sooooo volunteering up there! I guess. We'll see if there will be any mood change. But hey, there's Didi, so it''s bound to at least be enjoyable. XD And yes, I can also extract some juicy secrets from her regarding XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX :D

So please do, come and visit us at Wisma Jaya in Bandar! All proceeds go to SMARTER Brunei!

What happened?

So like, hey.

Updates~

March past practice since the last few days. We were supposed to start practicing at Bandar on Monday, but HAH. WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH BUSES! HAH. Only half of the PreU 1s get to go. My class, NOT INCLUDED. Sorry, I LOVE to use capital letters all the time.

Then, on Tuesday, we all get to go, and we had two type of buses to choose from. The very much popular and public purple bus, or the classical school bus from the eighties (assumption only, might be older). I got the school bus from the eighties. It was sooo old, they had tiny fans instead of aircons on top, and the back of the seats were supported using wooden planks, instead of metal! D: Since there were five us, Nisa, Faiqa, Fadz, Sya and me, we decided to sit at the back, and I got the window seat! And uhh, we shared the same bus with the instructors. 0_o Out of boredom, we sang, and started of with Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On". XD And somehow, since then, every time the instructors see us, they go "kamu kan yang menyanyi dalam bas atu??"

The tuesday march past was pretty horrible. I know that. I suppose we all know that. Of course, there were people mocking us. I didn't care, mostly since they come from other schools. Our age, you know, teenagers. Teenagers are lame. What actually pissed me off was the fact that there were also ADULTS who were mocking us. No, slash that. Middle-aged people. Urang tua bagak kan mati udah usulnya ah. Sorry, I just lost my respect towards them for acting so immaturely when they said, "Urang MS ah, belajar pandai, march past inda pandai." If that came out from a 13-year-old poklen bitch-wannabe, whatever. I wasn't pissed at what they were saying, but at the fact that they already have a stack of white hair stuck on their heads and still decides to insults people 20x younger than them in such a way. Please, what happened to the "makin basar, makin berakal!" phrase? BODOOOHHH. PALUUUIII. Yeah, still pretty pissed about that. I mean, hey, I had personally expected these so-called mature people to have a more realistic view on MS, apparently not. Not MS=Geeks/Smartasses/Nerds/Sociopaths. Sheesh. Thanks alot for finally opening my eyes.

Oh my, oh my, that is quite a rant. Wonder how much I have sinned. And no, I have no friggin anger management, and I can't seem to care less for the time being.

Got lectured after that, blablablablablablablablabla. The instructor dude asked for our names! Maybe because we were the noisiest trio in the bus. Aaaah! Well, Faiqa was renamed "Fire" by him. XD Well, doubt anyone is going to remember anyone after this whole thing ends anyway.

~NEXT DAY~

Again, we wanted to go on the last bus, basically the bus with the least number of people. Arrived at Bandar. Got the same insults as the ones on Tuesday. Can I just...? Please? I feel like letting it go. HAHAHAHAHAHAFUCKHAHAHAHAYOUHAHAHAOLDHAHAHAHAHAHAGSHAHAHAHA. At least it's censored, one way or another. Apparently, from the views of the instructors, our march past has improved so much. Uh, reeeeaaallllyyyyy??? Whatever. Yay us! Man, people can be really, reeeaaallyyyy lame with their insults sometimes it's just so...impossible to feel insulted. If that makes any sense at all. Instead, you just felt like laughing at their insults and mocking them in return and therefore they will feel insulted. HIGH FIVE, GIRRRLFFRRRRRIIIEEENNND!! And that shows how MS is actually filled with more bimbos than the aforementioned types of people.

When we got back to school, we were to assemble in the auditorium. SOme discipline teachers who joined the practice that day told us that the principal was SHOCKED (yeah, liekliekliek OMGICANNOTBELIEVEIIIT 0_o) with our attitude. As quoted, she thought that being posted in our school would have been "paradise". Where the hell did she get that idea from? She should know that despite the FRACTION of actual straight-A students in our school, it's still basically...a secondary school, with a sixth form centre added, filled with teenagers, TO THE BRIM. Yes, believe it or not, we are actually normal human beings and grew up on earth! And adapted to earth's culture! *gasp* And that we are not A.Is (that's Artificial Intelligence, in case you're too blahblah to know) or some alien species above human level who actually came to invade earth with our intelligence! *double-gasp*

...Yes, sarcasm does lose its smart-ass-ness-sounding-tone (yay for hyphens) when used lengthily. I apologise for that, sir/ma'am.

And now, allow me to present today's happenings.

- Last bus again.
- Same bus as first day.
- Bus have worse smell than on first day.
- Bus very full with people.

I guess I was sort of weak this morning. Sure, it was my fault for not eating dinner and breakfast. So, naturally, the most anticipated time was meal time. But before that, we have to march past. But the waiting time was longer than the previous two days. I even had time to play "Kick Open" with Faiqa. LOL, that game is just so addictive. Been playing it since the first week of practice. But couldn't play it for so long because I felt soooo hungry. And I do believe that today's march past is much more praise-worthy than yesterday's. HOWEVER, some other oldies by the road said, "Nah, ani baru bisai!" Man, I can't help but feel sarcasm/insincerity/mockery in that statement. Thanks a lot, grandpa, but I sort of lost my trust towards you guys ever since that day. Yeah, I'm related to "The Grudge"'s ghost. I never forgive. I never forget.

Then comes the food. The first bite was horrible. I thought it was because of my awesome hunger. I tried again. I realised the rice was hard. Undercooked. After that, I ended up finishing up the fried chicken only. Then, I drank the water. I've never been a fan of water. It was only since this march past hingie that I started to drink water because they only provide water and nothing else. I always sneak in a candy or two every time I drink it. But I didn't thant day. ANd Oh man, the water was...bitter! Maybe because of my dried mouth, but I could not stand another second of it, so I begged Fatin to buy some ice cream with me at Jollibee. Heheh. Refreshed after that.Went back to the bus parking area. Hey, someone took our bus! After few minutes after arguing, we finally got it back, and went to school.

Heh, Kendo was just starting when we arrived. But naaah, I was too lazy to join. Just watched from the sides. Then, I went to the canteen with Nisa and Faiqa and wheee~ I bought mango sorbet, wedges and a slice of papaya. This means that, yes, I was actually still very hungry.

Pretty okay after that. And blahdeeblah, went home.

Yes, lenghty post. Read it and weep.

Because life sucks?

We had Chinese new Year celebration at school today. OHMEHGAWD LION DANCE! Yeah, I'll skip the rest and shall go straight to the lion dancing. The lions are so...cute. There were four of them, and only had two people per lion, the head and the tail, short, they're sooo cute. One of the many amusing parts were the fact that they were...kissing and...mating? What is that, man? To ensure fertility of the future generation or something?! 0_o There was also one part where they went around the canteen area. Hah. I seriously don't know how to describe the excitement of watching the lion dance. Euphoria~ XD

March past practice! My god. Please, we thought you were funny during the first day. BUT, now the jokes are getting old, man. Seriously. Last one at school, last one with the instructors. Now that they won't be there anymore, we are seriously going to be....LARAK. Hmm.

One a whole different matter, I still can not believe that I took Physics, Economics and Maths. WTF is up with me, picking all this maths-related subjects? D: And, dude, I can not believe that I talk about entering universities with my mum. Like, for sure I WILL enter a uni. I'm not even sure whether I can get through my A Levels, heck, even AS Levels! DD:

KIRI! KANAN! KIRI! KANAN! KIRIIII!!!!

I had my Econ test today. Immediately after the test, I requested a re-test. T___T IT SUCKS HOW THE THINGS YOU LIKE CLASHES WITH THE THINGS YOU CAN DO! In this case, it's Econ and Maths. Somehow my marks in the mini maths test seems to maintain a B, but my Econ is just...horrible. Yeah, and we also had this mini-exhibition as the Audi about some UK universities. I was only tailing where ever Sya goes, because I obviously have NO IDEA where to go. In the end, I don't know, maybe just to fill up my time, I just check all available Economics-related courses. I know I suck in Econ, but I like Econ, therefore this sucks.

Anyway, on to the fun part. MARCH PAST PRACTICE!! XDD Yeah, I know our school was a little late. XD Today wa our first day. I was scared at the thought of having some real soldiers training us, but they turned out to be pretty sporting :D We had a lot of stomping going around and eventhough it was our first day, we were all praised for our teamwork! Haha, the boys were given extra practice because they're not as good as us girls~ XD Yay! But..I guess you can say it was a little bit TOO much of compliments, you know. Scared me. Maybe it was supposed to increase our motivation or something, but it was seriously distracting when you're supposed to be all serious. But really, we had fun. Laughed alot thanks to them.

Lalalalala I only have one PE tshirt~!!! I don't want to buy a new one!

IM Charity Evening 2008

Hi! Hi! A belated report from me about IM Charity Evening 2008!

...Okay. Slash that. I'm not reporting anything because I don't remember everything.

So we arrived there around 7. Haven't been to JP Amphitheatre (spelling? D:) ever since the Akademi Fantasia rage few years agp (shut up, the past is the past.) As usual with concerts, they always end up starting later than they're supposed to.

"Reach out, touch a heart" was the theme of the night. I like their logo. The shirt would have been nicer if they put that instead of "Cool Tones SMS 22777".

Anyway, the concert started of with a duet by Hans Anuar and Putri for an acoustic version of "I Will Show You the World". Haha antam title. Anyway, Jonathon played the keyboard! OMG it was awesome! I thought there was an acompanying background music, but turns out it was 100% keyboard music, and he only played with one hand! Cool!

Okay, I don't remember which came first, there was two dance performances by the little SMARTER kids, I don't know, I'm not that familiar with the young ones' names, but I know their faces :D

Muin and Afif made a poem recital called "Don't Shut Me Out Just Because I'm Autistic". I've heard and read the poem before. It's just so touching. T_T

There were also two awesome (I need another adjective here) duets between the singers and the SMARTER kids. The first one was by Faiz and Aidil from SMARTER. Wait, that's his name, right? He's new. They sang...an english song which I'm not familiar with. :P and the kid knows all the lyrics O: Again, awesome. He walked around the stage while singing it.

Next was Fakhrulrazi and Irfan. I like Irfan! He's just sosososo adorable! They sang "Kenangan Terindah". Irfan sort of freaked out in the beginning of the song, covering his ears. But during the bridge, I think, IT WAS GREAT! While Fakhrul Razi was doing the "whoaaaa whoaaa" (LOL) part, Irfan started to sing the words. The combo was awesome. Awww. I was in awe. I simply loved it. Mum told me that during rehearsals Irfan just got so attached to him. So sweet. XD

After that was the normal performances by the artistes. Um. Yeah. Haha. Don't really have much to say for this part.

I've seen other reviews by other bloggers, and even they say it was the SMARTER kids who stole the show. So true in my case. Even Amanda and Qils who were starting the get bored while waiting for the concert to start put their phones away *cough* and cheered on.

Congratulations and thank you to the Institute of Medicine students who organised the event! This should definitely raise the awareness of Autism in Brunei and hopefully this is not the end! I'll continue spreading the awareness through speeches in class as well!! XDDD

Density is mass divided by volume!

LOL at my GP presentation today. The question was about what youd do if you were given the oppurtunity to change school rules. Majority obviously talked about mobile phones. XD I talked about how we should add more exits as to prevent writing the reason "traffic jam" for every late slip we would get, and to lift the ban on electronic gadgets because we are not cavemen, also to lift the ban on mobile phones so that we won't increase the school telephone bills. See, we are in a way helping the school as well.

Um, Econ, or very first topical test. The substitute teacher was pretty uptight. Scary. 10 MCQs in 30 minutes, seriously, I know they are ECONOMICS MCQs, much more complicated than normal MCQs, but 30 mintes is a bit too long. I had to clench my fists for the last five minutes to prevent any more doodling on my test paper. After that was a data response test. I was never really good with data response. I got a C6 for my paper 2 in the Os. lol.

And theeeen, today was my first Physics class. It was after break, so during break time I was searching frantically for anyone who would be in the same class as me. But there was no one. It's like nobody was taking Physics. When I asked this bunch of friends whether they take Physics or not, they replied together in a harmonious tone, "NOOOOO~" while looking at me like a retard. DX

I wasn't sure where I was supposed to go, to the lab or the class, because there were two Physics class held at the same time! Agh! Finally, I found some people, and luckily, the class we were in was air-conditioned, a scarcity nowadays. AND OMG PHYSICS IS TOTALLY BETTER THAN BIO!! I am so glad that I dropped Bio! I don't know how my progress in Physics will be, but at least I'm off a smooth start, way better than in Bio. The one thing I'm scared about is homework. The teacher comes and collects them personally from table to table. Okay, all I have to do is do my homework and pass it up, right? I have to attend two Phys afternoon classes to catch up with the rest.

Pure Maths was bleah. I unno. I find it normal. Not too exciting. Not too boring. I am quite capable of answering them so it was no biggie. I;m worried about my Statistics though. I never seem to have the mood to do the homework...

Ah, two more hours to the concert. You know what I'm talking about? It's the IM Charity Evening 2008. It's so sweet for the IM to put so much effort in doing this concert. Oh, I'm also going to wear my "Reach Out and Touch a Heart" shirt! XDD
